Jacob Södergren is a contemporary artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. Jacob holds a Master of Science degree in Design and Product Realization from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Art has been a great part of Jacob’s life as long as he can remember. He has tried many different styles and methods and likes the possibility to vary, from sketching with a simple lead pencil to creating abstract art by using whatever tool available.

Jacob prefers colorful abstract themes, leaving room for imagination and interpretation. He usually describes his art as structured chaos and works without fine brushstrokes or precise ideas. He rarely knows what the result will look like when he starts – by mixing colors on the way in multiple layers of paint, anything can happen during the process.

Since Jacob never has the patience to wait for the paint to dry, he likes to work with quick drying and easy-mixed acrylic. Jacob believes that the larger canvas to paint on, the more space to make something unique.
